The orthosis for treating plantar fasciitis due to forefoot valgus should plantarflex the first ray which brings the first metatarsal head closer to the calcaneus reducing plantar fascia tension. It also supports the valgus position of the forefoot.

The Plantar Fasciitis device due to forefoot valgus has a milled polypropylene shell with the following prescription:

  • Heel cup – 14mm
  • Width – wide
  • Cast fill – standard
  • Rearfoot post material – polypropylene
  • Rearfoot post motion – 0/0
  • Topcover – black EVA to toes
  • Forefoot extension – 3° valgus
