Pes Cavus with Rigid Forefoot

This orthosis is designed to reduce the most common complaints found in those with cavus feet, including metatarsalgia, heel pain, and lateral ankle instability.

The Pes Cavus device has a vacuum-formed polypropylene shell with the following prescription:

  • Heel cup – 14mm
  • Width – wide
  • Cast fill – very minimum
  • Rearfoot post material – firm EVA with no lateral bevel
  • Rearfoot post motion – 0/0
  • Topcover – black EVA to toes
  • Forefoot extension – 3° valgus
  • Heel lift – 3mm
