Why are P3 Prefabs Better?

Do you know what sets ProLab’s P3 prefabs apart from other prefabs on the market? We designed our prefabs using the same pathology perspective as with our custom orthoses and we incorporated evidence-based research. 
 
MATERIAL AND TECHNOLOGY
Polypropylene is the foundation of our P3 prefab (the shell), the same material used for our custom orthoses. It holds its shape better
than any other materials on the market and will not flatten                 
out like softer materials or other plastics. Injection molding technology assures accurate and consistent shape and corrections in each prefab.
 
CORRECTIONS
We built in the most important functional corrections for mild versions of pathologies such as plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia, and hallux limitus. By incorporating a 14mm heel cup, 2mm medial heel skive, and a 3° forefoot valgus correction, our prefab addresses the biomechanics of the pathology.
 
EVIDENCE
P3 prefabs are not arch supports. Studies show that controlling forefoot-to-rearfoot motion has very little to do with arch height. Controlling the rearfoot at heel strike (deep heel cup, medial skive, poly shell) helps prevent collapse at the midtarsal joint. Prefabs without rearfoot control allow the arch of the foot to collapse and compress the device. Our prefab provides true mechanical control.
 
If patients experience only partial relief of symptoms with P3 prefabs, then the problem is likely mechanical in nature and custom orthoses are indicated.
