ProLab emerged as a leader in the orthotic industry in 1989. Recognizing that the industry was lagging in both education and technology, ProLab developed an orthotic laboratory to meet these needs. Founded on education and research, ProLab introduced new materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques to the orthotic industry.
Our goal is to produce the finest orthotics for the best clinical outcomes. Since manufacturing alone could not achieve this goal, ProLab focused on practitioner education as a critical component of success. ProLab contributes to the professional growth of practitioners and the orthotic industry by supporting education through workshops, lectures, research, and medical consultations.

Integrated CAD/CAM technology in orthotic production
Introduced Pathology Specific Orthoses to the industry
Instituted a team of Medical Consultants to work with practitioners daily
Became a founding member of PFOLA
Introduced the use of EVA in orthoses (heel posts, arch fill, and topcovers)
Played a leading role in introducing polypropylene to the orthotic market
Pioneered the manufacture of vacuum-formed polypropylene devices
Designed the first truly functional prefabricated orthoses from polypropylene
